Hey you guys. I was in Walmart today restocking on Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
The lady who was checking me out looked at it and instantly said “Oh, are you going to put this in your hair baby?” (Side Note: I love sweet older women who say “baby” after everything) I instantly thought it was because of the African American woman on the bottle (I usually buy the Walmart cheaper brand, but I must admit, seeing a woman of color made me buy that brand lol) so I said “Yes, ma’am I actually am”
She asked me if I used any other oils and I told her I used virgin coconut oil every night on my hair.
She told me that uses coconut oil as well and of course we got to talking about how coconut oil by far holds the most overall benefits for you hair.
Did you know using coconut oil can help prevent grey hair? I didn’t.
That’s what she initially started using it for because she was seeing greys and wanted to prevent it.
I love my coconut oil regimen. I use it every night as a sealer for my moisturize regimen.. and I also deep condition with it on wash days.
But I decided to do a little more research on the OVERALL benefits of it. And you would be amazed.
It is grease for your hair, nails, skin, health… just wonderful.
When I was reading I kept thinking, “Hey, I do have less hangnails… Hey… I my eyelashes are thicker! (they’ve always been long, but not as thick)”
I haven’t tried it on my skin as of yet… My face is really fickle and right now I’m givingblack soap a try (So far, I love it… but I will doing an actual video post on it after I finish my first full bar) but I think I’m going to try it on my legs see what a difference it makes. Who doesn’t want gorgeous soft legs in the summer??
So… If you’re interested… here’s the article I was reading… and if you haven’t tried it yet.. give it try! I got my coconut oil from GNC because I hate to wait… but Amazon.com always has awesome deals on it.
